                              Police Constable – 7122 Posts

Age Limit :-  Minimum 18 year Maximum 28 year as on 01/08/2013  (SC/ST/OBC Relaxation 05 Year)

Educational Qualifications :-  10+2 Higher Secondary (ST Candidates 8th Class)

Pay Scale :- Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

Application Fee :- General, OBC Candidates Rs. 500/- and SC/ST Candidates Rs. 250/-

West Bengal Police  Are Invited Application from the eligible candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criterion for filling up the vacancies given below.

Age Limit :-  The candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age as on
01.01.2013 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1995). Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 (five) years for SC/ST candidates and 03 (three) years for OBC candidates of West Bengal only. The upper age limit is also relaxable for Ex-serviceman and Exempted Category Candidates as per existing Govt. rules.

Educational Qualifications :- The candidates must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government. (Please Download advertisement detail given below for more information.)
Application Fee :-  Candidates must deposit a fee of Rs. 150/-(Rupees one hundred fifty only) in the form of A/C Payee Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank / IPO purchased in favour of West Bengal Police Recruitment Board” payable at Kolkata.

How To Apply :-   The prescribed application form with detailed Information Brochure will be available from the office of the Superintendent of Police of all districts and the office of the Commissioner of Police
of all Police Commissionerate (except Kolkata) from 24.01.2013 to 24.02.2013. Application Form will be issued to the candidates on production of Bank Draft / Postal Order of Rs.150/- (One hundred fifty only) or Caste Certificate (for the candidates from Schedule Tribe / Scheduled Caste Community of West Bengal only) or Identity Card issued by the Labour Department, Government of West Bengal in case of Exempted Category candidate.

Educational Qualifications :- The candidate must hold, as on 1st July, 2012, Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2012, he/she must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government and should have studied Intermediate and appeared for the Intermediate Examinations in both the 1st year and 2nd year.

Application Fee :-   A prescribed fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty five only) in cash should be remitted at the time of submission of each application form. Demand Drafts, Cheques, Indian Postal Order etc. will not be accepted. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying this fee.
